About us: The Caravanserai* Acting Studio is a more or less unique institution in London. It offers some of the best professional acting coaching available at extraordinarily competitive prices, with top acting coaches, and combines it with opportunities to participate in theatre plays, short films, script-readings and showcases. These projects offer the studio actors great potential to develop their acting through practice, to be seen by the industry, and to become part of a dynamic creative team through which they can suggest and realise ideas. In 2010 and 2011 we intend to tour two of our productions professionally, so that the actors will all be paid. Casting directors regularly visit the studio for our Actor Casting Network evenings, and there is an array of fantastic workshops available with some extraordinary practitioners from all over the world. The Studio is also a wonderful place for people completely new to acting to start to develop their abilities in our introductory classes and workshops. Meisner classes with Claire Kaplan on Wednesday evenings (drop-in). Beginners Classes: Charlotte Comer (Acting For Total Beginners), Anne Walsh (Voice and Speech) Professional Workshops with Spain’s leading acting coach Cristina Rota (Intensive, for advanced / professional actors) October 2010. Also, Greece’s Evdokimos Tsolikidis (Improvisation), Giles Foreman (Preparation), Liana Nyquist (Technique, Stagecraft and Physical Life), Liora Medina and Cedric Daetwyler (Intimacy and Body Psychotherapy for Actors), Anne Walsh (American Accent) 2 Actors Casting Networks (Casting Director Evenings) every month. Industry Showcases Theatre Club performances of 'Creditors' (Strindberg), 'Inside Job' (Brian Clemens), 'Things We Want' (Jonathon Marc Sherman), 'The Ruffian on the Stair' (Joe Orton) 'The Duchess of Malfi' and more.
